Learn about Ballard's roots at the National Nordic Museum, an internationally recognized museum and cultural center where people of all backgrounds are welcomed to be inspired by the values, traditions, art, and spirit of the Nordic peoples.
Once a year, around the second weekend in July, the Ballard Alliance throws the biggest block party celebrating the neighborhood's connection to the maritime industry, nods to Scandinavian roots, love of music, great food, and Ballard brews!
We call it Ballard SeafoodFest and the beloved neighborhood tradition turned 50 this year!
Through the help of our sponsors, volunteers and the support of the local business community, this has been a free event to attend since its creation in 1974 as a neighborhood salmon BBQ.
This deliciously fun festival is also a giant neighborhood fundraiser! All proceeds from the festival are reinvested in the year-round programs that enhance the neighborhood, through the projects, events and programs administered by the non-profit, the Ballard Alliance.
Our organization would like to say a very special thank you to the sponsors of the 50th Annual Ballard SeafoodFest and recognize their support and contribution towards a more vibrant Ballard.
-A round of applause please for our 2024 sponsors-
